Brand image for this nice online book store, Manchester based.
George Orwell gives the inspiration, the name and the tone, therefore there is no image in the brand identity, only the use of letters & the power of its message. Regarding colours it was clear we wanted to be traditional but with a blink to modern times and the turquoise fluor was keen on this point; also the combination of both makes refference to the plant that gives the name not only to Orwell's book but also to this peculiar book shop.
There was also a very clear intention to work the lines to also represent the irregularity of the Aspiditra plant and we found RymanEco typography to illustrate this point.
